Stanford rapist Brock Turner gets 6 months: Dad balks at jail for "20 minutes of action"

The Stanford rapist Brock Turner, 20, got a light six-month sentence after his father Dan Turner complained at the court's "harsh" punishment reported the New York Times on June 6. The father of Brock Turner, Dan Turner, said that his son's "20 minutes of action" didn't merit years in prison. So California Judge Aaron Persky handed down 6 months of jail time for the Stanford rapist on three counts of criminal sexual assault against an unnamed 23-year-old woman at a 2015 frat party. Brock Turner could spend even less time in jail--as little as 3 three months--if he behaves.  Stanford rapist Brock Turner gets 6 months: Dad balks at jail for 20-minute act | Examiner.com
